Experienced across the board I have worked for over 25 years in both live action and animation for film TV advertising music and events.
Adaptable and calm under pressure I enjoy the diversity of jobs that I work on and the variety of clients. It’s always great to see a director light up when they see their script turned into images for the first time, giving them confidence and belief in their vision as a whole.
If you have a clear idea that you’d like to commit to images immediately, or would like creative input and art direction from an early stage, I’m able to deliver. Using a simple line and minimal tonal palette, I am most suited to creating non-fussy energetic artwork that connects with the viewer.
As an artist your interests and environment constantly inform your work and development. Focusing on subjects away from the drawing board stops things from become stale and often fresh ideas come when you least expect them, when fishing, playing music or when spending time with the family, for example.
As well as art and film I therefore try and spend at least a little time pursuing other interests as well. I’m not going to list them all here, (nobody’s interested in lists anyway), but rather through blog posts, the subject matter of which will be what appeals to me, whatever that may be, as well as work related musings.
The first ones will be retrospective to get things started, as blogging is not something I’ve done until this point. Hopefully this will show where I’m coming from and bring things up to date. And besides I really like the look of the blog page Brigitte designed for me…
